I’m prior service and I’m going into the active army. When I go to MEPS would I get to select my possible duty station?

I am getting a conditional release from the NG and going into the active Army. I really want to call Fort Bragg home( since it’s 3 1/2 hours from where I was raised) and really don’t want to go to Fort Drum. Would I get to pick from open slots at MEPS?

SGT (Join to see) - Unless it was part of your contract to choose your duty station, your chances are slim. You can ask but it will not have to be honored. AD does not work like the NG. AD component chooses were you go, while the NG you choose, especially if it deals with promotions. By the way, it is a completely different culture, be prepared.
