I'm interested in becoming a 31D. Does anyone have experience working as a CID Agent? If so, is it a job many soldiers make a career out of?

I made it a career and it is a good platform to a career after an Army career. Many retired agents go into civilian law enforcement. I chose private industry. I have worked as a chief deputy coroner; an anti-piracy investigator in the satellite television industry; and as an insurance investigator.

Thank you for your response. I want to invest my hard work and effort into a career that will give me solid options on the civilian side of things.

Have you visited the website cid.army.mil? Are you near a CID Office? If so, you should visit the CID office and talk to the Recruiting Coordinator. CID is a great career choice and I would recommend anyone who is qualify to look into.

Check the website, there should be a "find an office" link. If you are in the D.C. area, there are multiple offices around. I am the recruiting coordinator for the Fort Myer office.
