I looked and could not find a PME book review area. Is one necessary?

I always found having my troops read a specific book and then holding group discussions on how fit into our daily lives allowed the troops to learn new techniques and gave them the ability to mold old ideas into current problems. The book I always started with in a new unit was "The Defense of Duffer's Drift". Awesome book on preparing a defensive position and the decision making process.

You might try "Books" Group. Which under the main page has a master link to each of the Services Professional Reading Lists.
We also have "RP Book Club: Title - Author",which I try to post a book about once a week, if my current book has a military theme to it. I generally don't include those on the PME lists just because I assume others have already read them.
However a "Book Review: Title - Author (PME: Service)" would be welcome. Our members LOVE books. People are constantly recommending them.

'Carnage and Culture' Victor Davis Hansen is a good one for sections at a time.
'The Civil War Stories' of Ambrose Bierce for twilight zone and horror of war
So many books, so little time
"This fell Sergeant Death, is quick in his arrest" Hamlet Act 5 sc 2
and I bet you thought that the grim reaper was an officer
