Very nice video. It is like riding a bicycle you never forget out to take apart am M4/M16. This is great for civilians that have never cared for a weapon like that. If you do some more videos. You might find a quite room to get better sound. Being in that larger room the sound as not as crisp.

Great job though. SSG Roger Ayscue

I loved the video and yes I was one of those guys that used the firing pin, but I get that Bone tool. Also I had never thought about a shaving brush I was using old rag's. I was wondering about the gas block under where the front sight would be there is a hole for extra gas to escape its really quite small and to get the carbon out of it I would use a toothpick or a thick needle, should I not do that? Thank you very much. Scouts Out.

If that little hole is in the center of the gas tube under the front sight, it is not for excess gas, it is the roll pin that holds the gas tube in place. A normal paper clip fits snugly but well and can be used to clean that out.

SSG Roger Ayscue Great video. As a former Unit Armor I'm fully aware of all of the old concerns for the care and cleaning of the M-16... Great video though.

Thank You Sergeant, I appreciate that you took the time to watch it and to respond. I am considering starting a Youtube channel specifically focused on maintaining weapons and equipment that our troops have to use.

Yeah, great idea, most civilians don't have a clue about where to start on cleaning their AR's. I'm already subscribed to the channel that your video is posted on, I've had them for quite awhile. I'd subscribe to yours. Post it here when you make it.
