I am interested in joining the army and pursuing the 35t mos. Should I expect any bonuses for enslisting?

35T is the best MOS! Yes I'm biased but as one of the 1,000 soldiers who have this specialization I can say it has its ups and downs. Bonuses and promotions are great compared to a lot of the other MOSs, you are most of the way through a degree with Cochese college when/if you make it through our AIT (more on that later), and with a TS most tangos make great money once they get out. However AIT might kill your soul. Expect a full year at Ft. Huachuca with Drill Sergeants AFTER going through 3 months of basic training. By the time you get out of initial training some of your friends from basic will be coming back from their first deployment. If I had known coming in how awful those first 13 months would be I doubt I would've joined as a Tango but now that I have survived that awful slog no amount of army stupid can bother me.

Final thoughts: Survive 13 months of hell and you will be set for the rest of your life. Just remember that we are still 33s!

it all depends on needs of the army, but for the most part you should get some type of bonus. Make sure you ask your recruiter and make sure the bonus is in your contract before you sign it

I work with 35T since I'm a go(35F) and every time they've reenlisted there's usually a T8-10 bonus due to shortages of them. Ask your recruiter to be sure though :)
