I am currently 11B and want to reclass into CID. My GT and ST scores are in the 120s. What are the chances that I will get picked up for it?

You need 60 semester hours of college, decent credit, no bankruptcy within 7 years and must be an E4(P), SGT, or SSG. The grade requirements change from time to time...
Check out http://www.cid.army.mil for the current requirements or stop by your local CID office.
If I can be of any assistance let me know.

That is hard to answer because there are many addition factors. I recommend you get on the CID website and look at the complete list of qualifications.

Thanks for your reply. Based on what the website says I meet all the qualifications. I will be done with blc in March. I guess my question would be how do I ensure that I get picked up?

You can’t ensure you’ll get picked up but your chances of getting picked up are more likely if you apply than not. The decision is not made at a local level and those at command have a need to see your packet before they can even give their opinion.

SPC (Join to see) - Go talk to CID and see what they have to say understand that it is a process and takes time for a reason.

Be prepared for a lengthy process. I was a detachment sergeant before the application process went online so we handled all of the packets in house and then sent them to command for final approval. From what I understand the online application has shortened the turn around but I would still be prepared for about six months for the application to be vetted and approved. Perhaps more, depending on the amount of applications being received.

I recommend that once you successfully complete BLC, go on cid.army.mil and apply. This will start the 4 phase acceptance process, which is handled online until you reach Phase 3, at which time your local CID office will contact you.
