During my Deployment to Afghanistan in 2003 the conditions there were not the best. I had gotten dysentery and food poisoning 3-4 times each and lost a little over 30 lbs during my deployment. There were 3 main causes.1) food served at the local warlord's house 2)water from the shower/sinks 3)poorly cooked food from the Dfac. My question to you good folks is.... When deployed in Afghanistan how many times did you end up getting the hershey squirts and what caused it? This question is purely for comical means and not meant to be serious

Twice both times like rusty water. Then I got back to Manas and had a lot of cheese and some beers and life was back to normal.

I was offered a job as a contractor from MG Chuck Anderson retired. His deputy was max Labeto one star. Former AMC commander Europe. ITT was the contractor. Went all the way to the states and get a tooth ache. They put me up in a nice hotel. Had to wait to get the tooth fixed. I called Debbie many time and said where am I going? The air base? She said no. I figured it out fire base victory. Next to the Pakistan boarder. Got my tooth fixed got a plane and returned to bangkok. They were going to pay me 200000+.
