I don’t think what is demonstrated in the video is exactly
what we have going on today. Yes the
unemployment rate for veterans is high, but it is high for everyone. Having assisted several fellow veterans the
main issue I have seen is the lack of drive from veterans. There is a sense of entitlement and that
America owes us something for having served.
What I have seen is that most unemployed or underemployed veterans feel
that they should not have to take an entry level position and work their way
up. I can tell you that from what
I have seen and personally experienced is that the veterans that stay motivated
and are willing to do whatever it takes to be successful are. America wants us to be successful, but they
want us to earn it. And I personally
would not have it any other way.
