No one that worked in the Silicon Valley between 1999 and early 2000's can forget the notoriety of Carly Fiorina. While her biography on MSNBC painted a picture of her somehow being the victim of a ruthless board of directors, the employee buzz in San Jose was something else entirely. The Compaq/HP merger was not viewed in any favorable way by those both in HP nor by those who ended up being laid off. I was not one of those people, but the flap was so big over her leadership or lack thereof, that Internet message boards were filled with hate for what she did with HP.

Right on because I lived in Silicon Valley from 1986 - 2013 & was an HPQ Shareholder and I still own their stock... I followed Carly's career at HPQ very closely and knew many employees who were fired by the company

I don't care. I heard her explanation. Those people got generous packages and offerd re training. These people don't whine about all the people that are unemployed because of Obama and his policies.

You may change your mind if former Hewlett Packard employees are called on to discuss Carly on all of the mainstream media TV stations...

Sgt Tom Cunnally - No. I heard everything's when she ran for the Senate. Now I'm waiting to see if Gloia Alread digs up something on her.

TSgt Kenneth Ellis - Or Barbara "Don't Call Me Ma'am" Boxer.. You have to believe Boxer still has hard feelings toward Fiorina because their senate campaign was down in the mud...

The former CEO of HP may have a problem with the employees who remember her..

In all honesty, I wouldn't give more that $200 to ANY kind of campaign. It doesn't help anyone but the candidate. I'd rather donate to a cause that helps others.

Out of curiosity Sgt Tom Cunnally, of the Presidential candidates who were responsible for companies which employed people how many received significant contributions from their employees or former employees. This is a rhetorical question.
I expect some of Trump's employees have contributed to his campaign.
Are any of Hillary Rodham Clinton's Rose Law Firm are contributing to her campaign. I wonder how many are alive?
Most of the other candidates are career politicians who have not run corporations.

LTC Stephen F. - Why doesn't HPQ have a PAC to support their former CEO Why aren't HPQ Employees all excited about her campaign for president??...She left 10 years ago and many were there at her exit and worked for her.
My guess is they all said "Good Riddance" when she was fired for mismanagement and for not providing accurate earnings forecasts and inaccurate reasons for not meeting financial goals..... But what do I know?? I was only a HPQ shareholder at that time and still own HPQ stock But was interested in the quarterly reports because I was invited to listen to Carly's reports and how she managed the company.

Sgt Tom Cunnally - to be honest, I don't know why many of her former employees don't support her candidacy.
I expect the regulations and law which affect PAC formation would have a conflict with a corporation and a former CEO. There is probably some time limit like the revolving door limitation imposed on former DoD and military personnel from working anywhere near contracts they had oversight of, etc.
