Has anybody put forward a 4187 for voluntary reclass? How did the process go (smooth, rough)? Is there any insight you can provide to the collective?

The process is smooth, however you need to do your homework. Talk to your Career Counselor. Make sure you know if your MOS is over-strengthed or not or if there are "out calls" for your MOS and grade. Also, ensure that the MOS you are looking to move into has "in calls" for your grade. Also, ensure that your PSG and 1SG know what you are trying to do. If the 1SG understands your intent, he/she can better convey that to the CO and ensure smooth processing. Good luck!!!

Great advice, 1SG Steven Stankovich .

For those unaware, http://www.armyreenlistment.com/ will have your In/Out Calls for your MOS and the one you may be looking to change to.
