If someone is PCSing to Korea with 1 year left on their ADSO, will that be enough or can army extend your contract involuntarily? I heard you need 6 more months after your time in Korea in order to PCS to Korea but I don't, will they or can they extend my ADSO? Thank you!

Sir,

One only needs to complete the tour, the 6 months you mentioned is what is needed upon arriving at your gaining duty station after Korea. Should a Soldier not have the time required to PCS they will ETS from Korea.

Thank you for your answer. How does that work then? Do you extend your time in Korea until July and ETS from there? Flying back to the states and ETS somewhere else?
