How long does it take S1 to remove APFT and HT/WT flags?

So last month I was flagged for APFT and HT/WT, a month later I pass both with flying colors. How long does it take S1 to remove those flags and if I was promotable without BLC will I get to keep the P status or go back to the board?

It's instantaneous. A better question is how long will it take your company to fill out the form to lift your flag and your commander to sign it? Once S1 updates it, it's immediately reflected on your ERB.

It's even easier in the Reserves compared to Active. I do all S1 stuff now in the reserves and all it takes is going into RLAS and removing the flag. Still getting used to all the acronyms in the Reserve I swear they have more than Active does.

According to regulations, a flag is to be initiated or removed within 3 days of the soldier becoming unsatisfactory or satisfactory. Additionally, you should still be promotable, but the caveat to that is that your COC can decide to not recommend you for promotion until they see a consistent number of passed APFTs and HT/WT. Good luck.

Well I passed everything on Tuesday, I’m going to give my S1 the benefit of the doubt and say I’ll wait till Monday to see if my ERB/PPW update. If not I’ll go to S1 and try to get it squared away.

I was told that all paperwork was already sent up and to keep checking my ERB. I was just wondering how long it would take to show and if I’d keep my P status or not. SSG Brian G.

SSG Brian G. Respectfully, that's incorrect. The commander can appoint someone...military or civilian to have authority to initiate and sign paperwork.

SSG(P) (Join to see) - It still has to initiate at the command level before S1 can do anything. Without that S1 can only twiddle its thumbs and wait.

SGT (Join to see) - Ok, when dealing with crap like this you do the same as in the civilian world. You document. Who told you what, when and where. You write this all down so you can ref back to it when you need to later and you will need to at times.
Basically once command has signed off and sent the paperwork S1 has a short period of time to act on it. Once they do it should reflect on your ERB immediately. As to your P status, you don't lose that with a flag, it is just frozen in place. The only thing that really impacts a promotable status is whether you were demoted in rank.
