I am thinking about getting back in as a 68-Series, with my eye on 68C and 68V. How does travel typically work for these 2-Phase AIT? I am assuming I would either fly straight to Ft. Sam to get initial in-processing, or maybe go to a Basic Training post to in-process? Then I would go to Ft. Sam for Phase 1 AIT. Phase 2 is a PCS move for 68C (and others, I think), so is there sufficient time allotted to find a house and move my HHGs (I typically like to do a DITY move)?

Anybody able to provide insight on how these 2-Phase AIT moves work?

68V does both phases in San Antonio. 68C currently has 5 phase 2 sites. Phase 1 is a full PCS only if phase 2 is at San Antonio. You will not have enough time for a PPM move to phase 2 unless you have a spouse pack for you because there is usually less than a week between phase 1 and 2.

You should be able to find out that information from ATRRS.

I have the same question. I'm trying to reclass to 68c and I was wondering if my family is able to move with us.
