How do you feel about wearing combat uniform to participate in civilian marathon events?

I have seen some participate in civilian running events such as marathons and half marathons wearing combat uniform or PT uniform. I have also seen teams do this. Most famously in the Boston Marathon. I have seen service men and women participate in civies. What is your opinion?

If you're representing the a military branch or unit (with the appropriate permissions) I don't see the problem wearing PTs. Otherwise I'd say wear civvies. Plenty of clothing out there for sale that will identify you as "military" without it being an official uniform.

CH (MAJ) William Beaver, as long as you represent (don't fall out/quit) I see it as pride to wear unit PT gear.
