I'm in the guard and March 10th, 2023, I signed the dd368 for conditional release to switch to active duty. I am wondering how I can get an update on the status. My admin NCO changed to supply, so he is no longer my squad leader or Admin NCO anymore. I can't see it anywhere online and when I ask who I can get an update from I'm told to ask my squad leader who is an E-4 slotted E-5, and he hasn't gotten an update it's been 56 days now. Surely there has to be a problem with it or it's been signed but no one has told me, and I have drill May 5th-7th this weekend.

So, the 368 is a process. Could be a short one. Could be a long one. The fastest I've ever seen one be processed was 3 months. Longest was about a year. Thus form has to go up your entire chain of command. You can have your Platton Sergeant or Platoon Leader send an RFI to your unit Commander/1SG.

Thank you I will ask for that. Another soldier in my unit same time and rank as me did the same thing here was kicked back after 3 months because they wanted it in a different style for the form but once it was sent in properly it only took 6 weeks from send to signed and back that’s why I curious it’s been over 6 weeks now

SPC (Join to see) it's all going to depend on what's on the plate for the Commanders at each level, as well.

Are you not working with a recruiter?

I am my recruiter gave me the form I signed it with my nco and passed it up but he’s no longer the admin nco so I can’t get a direct update from him. And my recruiter said to notify him when I get it back he can’t see anything about it.

SPC (Join to see) - In my experience the recruiter handled everything, all I did was sign the form. Usually the whole process was done in four to twelve weeks. But MSG (Join to see) is right, it depends on what’s on the senior leaders plate.

Here's the process:
Your DD 368 had to be reviewed by your BN S1, BDE S1 and forwarded to your state G1, where it also needs a review at JAG before it goes into the approval pile for your TAG.
Your TAG is busy with a million things with your state's ARNG and ANG, the NGB and your state's governor, legislature and OES.

And for that inbox of signatures required, there are hundreds of items added every week, and Soldiers asking to voluntarily leave the Guard for any reason is at the lowest priority of all, that's why a conditional release takes 3-6 months to get signed. For release to active duty, they are pretty much all approved, but it's not a fast turn around.

It's great that your unit is emphasizing your first line leader in the process, but that's not going to answer your question. The only people who can see "where" your DD 368 is are your Readiness NCO, your BN S1 AGRs and your BDE S1 AGRs.
And the answer is probably going to be that it is at G1 pending TAG signature.
But the question needs to be asked to make sure that it didn't get forgotten at BN or BDE S1 levels. Your BN S1 won't want to hear from you or your E4 squad leader, the question needs to come from your Readiness NCO, 1SG or company commander.
