How do I earn points in both Box 2 AND Box 3, Section C of my PPW?

The differences are that box 2 is military resident courses such as 40hr courses that you take in the classroom such as field sanitation or combative level 1 for example. Could also be 80hr courses like combatives level 2 or unit armored course but those are classes you physically sit and and get a certificate at the end. Box 3 is correspondence courses which can be completed on JKO, Skillport or ALMS. I think you need 395 or so hours to max out your correspondence for E-5 and 430 hours for E-6. The good thing is they carry over. Your best bet while deployed is to max your correspondence and take college courses in your free time. If you get lucky maybe your unit could send you to a resident course to get you promotion points but that’s something you will have to look into on your own. The only other way to earn points in section C is to go to BLC and graduate with commandants list which is 20 points or as the Distinguished Honor Grad or Leader which is 40 points. Good Luck!

Maxing out correspondence hours in box 3 should be the first and easiest thing to knock out for easy points.

There is a 112hr CBRNE course that you can "skim through" and study for the test (should take less than a week.)

Then an 80hr Nurse course which is about the same thing as above. I believe i had to actually study/pay more attention for the nursing one. but thats already half of your hours needed.

Lastly for quick points (if you do not have college yet) enroll in any college you want to. I chose AMU when i was scrounging four points for SGT, sign up with the college and they will pull your JST and transfer that into college credits. Then get a transcript through them and take to S-1 and viola, 2 points per Semester Hour.
