It’s great see more NFL games being payed in Europe these days. The time zones make for some interesting late nights or early mornings watching the game. How did you celebrate and watch the games when you were OCONUS?

It varied. While deployed we would watch it on AFN in the chow hall. While on Embassy duty we had AFN at home so it was there. Sometimes local pubs would also host a viewing party for super bowl and it turned into a breakfast thing at the pub due to the time difference.

Stayed up late, but after you re-enlists the first time you develop the ability to function on any amount if sleep

So true. The caffeine tolerance in the military is on another level.

Oh, watching NFL games overseas is a whole different ballgame, right? The time zones can really mess with your internal clock, but it's worth it to catch those awesome plays. When I was OCONUS, it meant rallying the crew for some early morning football and a big brunch spread – that's how we rolled!
