How can we (at HQDA and at your installation and across our Army) best encourage, empower, and utilize our Retired Soldiers and their spouses to help our Army?

CW5 Robert L. Huffman, I think being a Soldier for life comes with a responsibility to continue to represent the Army in just about all that a retiree does. To continue to maintain high standards of personal and professional conduct. To "talk up" the Army to others. We're not all rah-rah cheerleaders - I know I'm not - but we can all say things to others in our day-to-day interactions that reflect positively on the Army. And since actions speak louder than words, we can act in a way to positively reflect on the Army. Those are generic, I know.

Social media is another place where we can make a positive impact on society as retirees - RallyPoint, obviously, but all the other big ones as well -- Facebook, Twitter, etc. That's where we come into contact with a lot of civilians and that's where we can represent and put forward a positive "face" for the Army.

Team, your input and that from many others was used today at the CSA Retiree Council meeting here in the Pentagon. Cannot thank each of you that provided a response enough for helping us focus this discussion.
Remain informed and engaged to help your Army Serve America.
