Do you want to transfer to another company in your state, or out of state?
Do you want to stay in your MOS, or will you need to reclass?

SPC (Join to see) - You don't need to be assigned for the deployment, you can just be attached.
You should email your CO and 1SG, and BN OPS NCOIC, and tell them you want to volunteer for that mob.
Also, you should email your RNCO, and ask him to initiate a Personnel Action Request to transfer to:
UIC WPCMB0
cc your CO and 1SG on that email.
If he needs help finding the vacant para/lin and position ID, have him email or call me. I'm pretty easy to find in global, but he's probably seen a few emails from me this year anyway.

I have seen this in the past. This may be more difficult than you think. First, the unit has to have an opening. Usually the state will try to fill their own vacancies. You may have missed out. You should try to contact that BNs S1 NCOIC to ask if they have vacancies. Deployments are hard to come. Most units won't send the whole battalion. When I sent to Jordan it was only a few sections of HHC and two companies. We left the rest of the BN behind. We didn't need anyone outside of the BN to go.

Yes sir, I've tried calling the S1, but they don't awnser, or even don't exist, so I have had to contact companies to see if vacancies, I remember when the guard page had a Mday vacancies page, but it has been removed, and even now with the low recruitment numbers in the guard. There shouldn't be a problem with vacancies
