I was administrative separated from the Navy with a General under Honorable circumstances discharge, but they also gave me a RE-4 code which I dont understand why or how they go together. I was told I was being separated for fraudulent enlistment due to me not stating my financial situation. But on my DD-214 it says misconduct. Im looking to go back through the Army and they told me.to contact the VA and do an audit on my DD-214. My question is how my discharge and re code go together and if there is anyone out there that can provide me with the correct documentation to help me out. I am going to take this through my senators 8u and congressman's office as well to see what they can get accomplished?

Your fraudulent enlistment of not providing proper, accurate and truthful information falls under misconduct. The Army will not take you with an RE-4. You can certainly try and talk to them, but don't hold your breath. The reason I state this....is RE-4 codes are non-waiverable. No harm in asking, though. Since that is the only way you will get a definitive answer if you can get back in with that type of discharge and RE-Code

Your call. Bottom line - you lied , you swore to the lie, you got caught and they gave you the boot, and they don't want you back., Kinda like " Can't doi the time, Don't do the crime"

No. Don't waste your time. Put your energy into something else and succeed at it. Good Luck.

You can apply to have your RE code changed, but you must prove, without a doubt, that the code issued to you was incorrect. It can be a lengthy process.
