It's also interesting with all this talk about Immigration and Muslims, nobody talks about the other Elephant in the room which of course is a lot of these Islamic countries including NATO Ally Turkey do not respect U.S. Citizenship when it is first granted to a new Immigrant Nor do they recognize the change of a new citizens religion from Islam to another belief. Both are a big problem for the State Department. The U.S. Army has to contend with Turkish immigrants in that some of them cannot return to Turkey or they face arrest. Why? Because Turkey does not recognize their U.S. Citizenship and arrests them for evading the national conscription law. It's total bullshit we as a country continue to tolerate that abuse. Another example, recent Iranian journalist returns to Iran she is not only a U.S. Citizen but changed her religion from Islam. Again, U.S. Citizenship ignored and persecuted under Islamic law in Iran because Islamic law in Iran does not recognize a change in religion. In Iran once your born Muslim you can't change to anything else (violation of UN Charter). Other countries same way. Saudi Arabia, can't change your religion, once your born Islamic you are forever a Muslim (also a violation of the UN Charter). So it seems to me that these items should be prioritized as well with Immigration reform and resolved internationally.

Candy Alkaabi - That would be a sign of hope, IMO. Did we as a country have any influence in that or was it always the practice......just curious? I am impressed with Iraq's rebuilding efforts in the railway sphere. Ambitious plans from Iraq through Iran through Afghanistan to Pakistan & China. Long ago the Orient Express used to terminate in Baghdad.

And I'm sure she has people on her staff working on getting people to re-write the history books so that her statement will be considered accurate.

MSG (Join to see) The history books already reflect the fact that her statement is true.
