SFC Micheal D. I don’t know what treatment they offer but most treatments I’ve been finding here lately while searching for a psychiatrist to support my equine therapy ranch doesn’t actually causes more harm then good. I don’t think they actually understand even in a controlled environment triggering a flashback actually causes physical pain to us and could also trigger our instinctual need to survive no matter the cost. I truely hope I can get my therapy ranch off the ground soon because extinction therapy isn’t the way to treat ptsd it is torture plain and simple.

sgt barrie windell--yes. if you can "buy into" the program as presented, it can work very well. I am a viet nam combat vet and have been attending weekly group meeting for my PTSD for 20 years. we have a group of 15-18 guys from door gunners all the way to a cook that got shot in the foot on his first day on a fire base. I enjoy "coaching" guys to get them service related and let them get off the beach and live with some self respect. there are going to be good days, and bad days. but, the patient has to commit to himself, that he really wants to live a better life.
