Hello, I'm currently in the process of enlisting into the Army Reserves. Can anyone tell me about Psyop?

If you are a non-prior service (civilian) enlisting in the reserves but are thinking about active duty, check out your potential cash bonuses first. Once you go USAR, you forfeit options. but since you are on this site, I guess you are PS. As a former recruiter, I wish you a good one who will guide you as if you were his son or daughter. They are out there. Psyops can open some interesting doors, militarily and in the civilian world. Welcome to the Big Green Machine.

I got into the field by accident as a 2LT right out of OCS at Ft Benning. My orders read 3d Special Forces Group at Ft Bragg, but when I arrived there in February 1967, my wife at the time came down with a severe case of pneumonia, so I asked the Assignments Officer at the Special Warfare Center if he could find another job for me on post, so I wouldn’t have to leave her alone while I went off to jump school. He did, and Imwas assigned as an Intelligence Analyst with the 13th Psyop Battalion.
