RP Members was this handled correctly by the Police in Killeen, TX? Your thoughts?

THERE IS NOTHING GRAPHIC IN THIS VIDEO - JUST WANT YOUR FEEDBACK ON DIALOGUE LEADING UP TO THE SHOOTING, WHICH IS NOT ON CAMERA!

You need to watch the entire video.

Why can't officers shoot people in their leg and incapacitate them...why do they shoot to kill? Why are they trained to shoot to kill or shoot the chest? Why didn't he have a taser? Or why can't they use rubber bullets?

COL Mikel J. Burroughs - thanks for letting me know. I am not up to watching anything graphic yesterday evening I was at the Martinsburg, WV VAMC for back spasms and leg issues. They gave me some injections and I was amused to learn that the nurse told me my butt cheek was harder tan she expected - I never thought of myself before that as a hard ass :-)
They put me on a course of Prednisone and some medium to severe pain medicines which have made somewhat groggy. I hope to be able to walk again by next Tuesday.

LTC Stephen F. I had a joint issue, that became so painful it prevented me from having a desire to do anything social. Numerous different methods were used without success to try to alleviate the pain. A part of the problem with my treatment is that I'm allergic to most narcotics, therefore pain medication of that variety were off limits to me and anyway it was a localized pain. ... After some time I found a doctor who, after some testing, put together a combination of three drugs which he injected directly into the site. I experienced immediate relief and continued to get better. I hope you're able to get relief from your issues as well.

CPT (Join to see) - In 2008 or 2009 I received "cocktail" injections into my lumbar and thoracic spinal column. The first injection provided significant relief but did not correct the problem. Each subsequent injection provided less relief. I resolved to do my best not to increase my symptoms. I asked the surgeons and later VA orthopedic doctors what I should avoid doing. Unfortunately I had to learn the hard way what I could not do :-)
For the short term the steroids and medium to severe pain relief anti-inflammatory medication plus the muscle relaxer seems to have helped - I have had to stop my walking regimen for the time being. I hope to start that back up by the end of next week.
