So I saw my first military poser today at Wal-Mart of all places. Had Army ACUs, popped collar, what looked like a white turtleneck and Doc Marten's boots, patrol cap on indoors, no name tapes anywhere, Marine Corps Globe-and-Anchor on his pc, no unit patches and an American flag patch with no stars. I asked him what unit he was in, he responded with being an E-7 petty officer in the Navy.

I knew a fella who claimed to have been a Marine Scout sniper alawys dressed in fatigues. I let him shoot my .22 semi auto rifle. He had no idea what he was doing. He kept cycling the bolt ejecting a fresh round on the ground. Scout Sniper, yeah right. He may have served as a cook.

I often wonder if these people that are taking advantage of the "stolen valor" get a taste of the bad stuff, The people that are against everything we stand for if they get spat on or called baby killers, murders ect... If they have do they try to pose as one of us to reap the benefits, if not I would really like to know why they do it. I have lost to many friends brother and sisters and it I despise these people for trying to steal their valor but at the same time I just want to know why.

As a veteran , I'm proud of my service , my heart breaks for those that have given their lives for our country, yes they volunteered to servve, but it does take a special person to volunteer . You never know when you may be called to war. If you want to wear fatigues , that's fine , it makes people feel good, it gives them a sense of patriotism, maybe they were unable to serve , that's fine. But don't lie about serving , that's so disgusting , wannabes, . What makes it even worse is pretending to have served ,and wearing the uniform incorrectly , if you've served you know who at fakes , starting with the uniform. They open their mouths and it confirms their stupidity

SPC Daniel Rankin
There hasn't been a spc5 rank since the late 70's. That is when they discontinued that rank. And why is he wearing wings if he is an army transporter?

Not yet and I hope to GOD I never do. I'd have to slap 'em shitless. I served and did so proudly. Viet Nam was considered to be the "SouthEast Asian War Games" by many. From where I stood, the carpet bombing was more than a game. The war may have been a joke by I did ten years of it and held up my end of the bargain. God bless all who served. If someone wants to dress up and play Army Man, then let him enlist first.
