SAN DIEGO (AP) — Authorities seized 12 tons of marijuana and arrested 22 people after discovering one of the longest cross-border tunnels between the U.S. and Mexico, officials said Thursday.
The passage connecting warehouses in San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico, was about 2,400 feet long and 30 feet deep. It was lit, ventilated and equipped with a rail system — hallmarks of the most sophisticated tunnels found along the border.
Near-simultaneous police stings on Wednesday resulted in six arrests in San Diego and 16 in Mexico. Authorities recovered two tons of marijuana in the U.S. and 10 tons in Mexico.

Seems inefficient. Why can't they use the US Government system like the other criminals.

Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS, I'm pretty sure the drug lords are working on that. What's so terrible is that our government might go along with the idea.

Capt (Join to see), No telling how many there are. Maybe this 200 mph hurricane will flood some of them and the scumbags in them.

Of course no one noticed this on the Mexican side? A warehouse that has truckload after truckload of dirt being removed yet no hole being dug. Instead of spending billions fighting the war on drugs, spend millions getting tips on where things like this are from such a corrupt nation?

It's not surprising, considering how many tunnels they've discovered. United States needs to legalize some drugs to prevent so much murders and death.

Just like Prohibition, the mafia rose quickly to power once the U.S. legalize alcohol and the the mafia dwindle to a few family that were quick to adapt to the changing environment. The same can be said about drugs. If it is legalize, the majority of the killing will be stopped.

MSgt Manuel Diaz, It's always news to me. You would think this would be a daily discovery since there are so many of them.

Nothing new here...
This is the perfect discussion to mention the movie 'Sicario.' If you do not see this movie, the terrorists and RallyPoint trolls win. If you live in our neck of the woods, you know why this is an open carry state.
