Has anyone submitted a memorandum to the Center of Military History (CMH) to prepare a new lineage and honors certificate for their unit?

This would be to obtain our initial certificate Sir. We are not currently included on the CMH Lineage and Honors list at all. We were established in 2011, so I assume that no one ever bothered to submit a memorandum for recognition previously. The CMH site says to submit a memorandum to the CMH commander, but I am unable to find any resources or information beyond that.

MAJ (Join to see) - Okay, I am probably not much help then. In the past I have submitted memos to have damaged certificates replaced and then also to include additions to a unit's lineage and honors, but never for an initial. I really think your best bet would be to try and get someone from CMH on the phone, or nail down a solid email for a POC there, and have them spell out exactly what the memo needs to say and what supporting documents you will need.
