Has anyone on Camp Pendleton trained at the Infantry Immersion Trainer (IIT) and if so what did you think? Semper Fi!

I've been at a field op adjacent to it in 2011, as my unit sent all the line companies through it. They said it was realistic and the best training prepping us for deployment, since the MOUT town was part of a bigger day and night operation (involving calling in airstrikes, casevac, detainee drills and interacting with role players/navigation).

I on the other hand could only look towards it (300m distance), as I was busy getting 2 VSAT connections up and going for a larger than normal COC........

Without having to go to 29 palms, it's a great way to start putting some real stress on your Marines during training. Especially once they get taken indoors for sim rounds.

Really good training. Went in 2014, everyone loved it and said it was the best training they've received thus far.
