So I was selected the week after Thanksgiving for assignment to SFAB. I was told I won’t get orders until I 1. Re-enlist or extend to meet the SRR, and 2. Adjust my deros date since I am stationed in Alaska (OCONUS). I’ve been attempting to get in touch with SFAB HRC without any luck. My report date is Jan 2019, which is approaching fast and I still have no orders. I also saw a MILPER message stating that 91B are entitled to a tier 7 bonus with reenlistment for SFAB if they have an ATRRS slot for CATC in Benning. I was told I can’t get the bonus because I won’t have a school date until I get to my unit at Hood and I would have already re-enlisted. Why would they have a bonus if it is unattainable? Has anyone gone through this or has any soldiers that have experienced this?

SFC (Join to see) not a problem. I have a friend who just went SFAB I can hit up and ask questions about getting you in touch with someone if that route fails.

Unless things have changed, they are doing TDY enroute for CATC. The SFAC might be able to help with your orders and ATRRS slot.

SFC (Join to see) by SFAB HRC do you mean the team at HRC Ft Knox or the SFAC team at Ft Bragg? Do they still give out the memo after selection stating when you will PCS and attend CATC?

MSG (Join to see) I meant Ft Knox. Apparently SFAB has its own HRC. So after selection I was emailed a memo along with the roster of who was selected. Didn’t have a date for PCS but did say “A soldier in your company will be PCS’ing within the next 30 days. Use this memo to begin the clearing process”

SFC (Join to see) it's not our own HRC, it's just a team of folks that work with Army HRC to ensure manning is tracked and orders get produced. Your memo sounds different from what we did when 2SFAB ran the selection. Sorry I can be of more help, good luck clearing with a memo!
