I keep seeing medics asking about Israel. I think this is one of those assignments that sits on EDAS and goes unfilled. Unless your branch manager specifically offered it to you, it's probably not going to get approved as a request

SSG (Join to see) no I've never been there. But I'd never been to Okinawa when they offered me that either. Sometimes you only get a split second to jump onto an opportunity before someone else grabs it

SSG (Join to see) yes, the country. Awesome people, tons to do, lots of touristy stuff for the weekends, amazing food.

Not stationed, but TDY for a few weeks and Israel is everything I enjoyed about Europe with a twist. The people, sites, and food are great (as long as you are cool with kosher rules). It is pretty great.
