H-D is offering free riding instruction in 2016 to AD military and veterans which can translate into lower insurance rates. Interested?

Sir for me I would say no it does not make me want to go out an buy a Harley( I am an avid Victory rider and owner).

Riding training is a fantastic opportunity especially if it is free. I took mine through a state program because it was cheaper but I'd do it at the local HD dealership if I'd had this opportunity.

I appreciate their offer(s) and I do buy some of their products, but to the other topic merged no this doesn't make me want to go buy a Harley. Overall they're too much for what's offered, paying more for the brand. If I was going to pay that much for a cruiser right now I'd likely get a Victory. But HD is improving, I'll give 'em that, and if they can continue that while working on the price I'd seriously give them consideration.
As for the training I do plan to take them up on it for my required recurring AF training. ;)

This is a great program, something you'll not likely see there competitors (I use the term lightly) doing. Harley is #1 in US sales commanding nearly 36% of the market. Honda is a distant second around 14% and Victory/Indian (Polaris) sell so few motorcycles you can't even call them competition. I'll be very surprised if either of the rebranded Polaris bikes will still be around in a decade.

I was waiting to see if they were going to do this again - i'm pondering the purchase of a HD next spring/summer.

They've been doing this unofficially for a while now, and for military riders if all motorcycle brands. I went 5-years-ago on an old Suzuki GS850 and then three-years-ago on a brand-new V-Rod. There was a charge for both classes, but when I asked about a military discount I was told the classes were on the house both times, thanked for my service and (the first time) invited to rude one of their demo bikes on an upcoming HOG ride (rode, fell in love with and bought the V-Rod.


So for me the answer is yes.

Already have my license and my insurance rate is less than 20 bucks a month for my motorcycle. and it was free on base.
