Thanks Sgt., Sounds like some good suggestions. I do like the idea of creating a wish list from drugstore.com.
Thanks for commenting.
I don't want to violate any rules as far as advertising or posting websites so if this is out of line then go ahead and delete it. I don't have any affiliation with this company except that I have used it for my own family and friends.
Lock and Load Java out of Salt Lake City sells whole bean and pre ground coffee. They also have a program where you can buy and send coffee directly to specific people who are deployed, if you have their APO/FPO.
If you don't know anyone then you can donate to sending coffee packages to random units that are down range.
Roger that, SGT Scott. I found it works best if you put your address in the billing and their APO/FPO in the shipping but also put their APO/FPO in the comments as well. Name, c/o adress. It serves to remind them it is for someone specific.
The random packages start as low as $20 and go up to $250, if I remember right.
They also let you donate any amount towards packages sent overseas when you check out.
The business is veteran owned and operated.
Watch out for any general orders that prohibit this kind of material downrange. I know when I was at the 'Deid, even fitness magazines could stray too close to the line and be confiscated.
You are right, I got that while I was deployed too. Personal items are always a good Idea..... Unless it's socks.......
LOL... No, socks wouldn't be a great idea.
Thanks !!
