I am partially sniffing out the depth levels of the perceived intentional smoke-screening by media, (presumably pushed by DC), and wondering what you think of this TPP stuff...

It is difficult to follow the twists and turns in this issue.
The left hates it and the president is a creature of the left - but the president was pushing the deal.
The right generally likes free trade and was instrumental in its passage, but they don't trust the president and were upset about the loss of sovereignty the TPP mandates.
Nobody seems to be following their principles.

Standard government play: Pass something that will get people heated (gay marriage or Confederate Flag) and then slip past something that supports their corporate buddies and their own fortunes behind the scenes.

It seems to me that the TPP may be a good measure of who is completely bought off by corporate interests and those who still have the interests of the American people at heart. If we can't stop it, we will at the very least have a list of politicians (on the right and left) who should not be re-elected.
