I have a question on being flagged because my chain of command told me that I'll be unflagged in a few days. So you can get flagged for up to a year, and then you get barred if you get flagged for 12 months straight? To clarify my question, how long can you be flagged for? Thanks.

Depends on the Flag, but the regulation (AR 600–8–2) states:
"d. The Flag should be initiated within 3 working days after identification of the Soldier’s unfavorable status and removed within 3 working days after determination of the final disposition."

Ah, a motivated soldier looking to break records and overachieve...I've come across Soldiers flagged for eons for various reasons from poor soldiering to poor leadership. The aspect you should be laser focused on is taking care of yourself and being the best soldier you can be now and into the future. Good luck
