During the process of selection for recruiting, if you’ve gotten a school date, does that mean your background cleared?

I’ve recently applied for Recruting and received a school in just over a week of applying. Could that mean I’m good to go or that they’re just sending me to school in lieu of processing my background? Asking for myself.

No, they'll place you into a class date with only a preliminary background check, meaning you don't already have any restricting offenses listed in their systems. The background check is usually finished prior to going off to recruiter class. A lot of people get a school date that gets canceled right before their school date because of background check or mental health evaluation

So it should be but you never know. My buddy didn't receive his background check until the last week of recruiting school which is crazy since he has a Secret clearance already. Since some nonsense like 7 years before hand came up he ended up graduating the school but they didn't send him out on recruiting detail.

SFC(P) (Join to see) - Is that all a new thing. Back in the day 1993 when I became a DS I don't remember any background check and definetly no psych test. I already a Top Secret SSI at the time. Though some of the people I did work with did need some psych help we never go a test.

SFC Michael D. Idk about 93. But since I went in 09 regardless of security clearance u needed a psych evaluation and background check. It prob happened because of the trainee abuse and stuff that happened awhile back.

I had an old speeding ticket from years ago that they found. It was paid and everything but they wouldn’t give me a date until I had proved that it was paid off. They actually told me that I didn’t meet the requirements and were going to drop me if I didn’t present it in a timely manner.
