Only for health professionals, chaplains, and JAGs. Prior service has no relevance on this.

Marty nailed it. They don't waive the age limit for officers (except as he noted). I found out the hard way, just missed the cutoff.

Yes, I think the normal cutoff is around 35 but you will get a one-year waiver for each year of active duty service till a certain age. I had read it in an essay on https://essayontime.com.au/pay-for-essay-in-australia this website. I think it was some Ex-Serviceman who got that essay written. I got a lot of information reading it.

Yes, at least as of last year they did. I commissioned in the Air National Guard at age 37. The normal cutoff at the time was 35. However, you could get a one year waiver for each year of active duty service, up to age 40. There may be additional age waivers for certain professional career fields such as medical, legal, chaplain, etc.

The Air Force recently increased the age limit for OTS to age 40. I haven't read the new regs to see if there is an age waiver for ANG beyond age 40, since it's such a new change. The best thing to do is contact an Air National Guard recruiter. They should be able to give you that info very quickly.
