Does having a battalion shirt/sweatshirt enhance esprit de corps in your unit?

Now not all units follow the same suit, I got that part. But for those soldiers new to the unit, if they were given a BN shirt and were told they could wear that instead of the regular PT shirt, would that enhance your unit's esprit de corp?

I'm always a fan of company PT shirts. I like having something that identifies me as part of my unit during various sports activities versus other companies. And let's face it we all have the standard pt shirt...company shirts give the chance for a little uniqueness!
