I just did some research, and couldn't find anything in particular about reptiles. Not even on South Korea's websites. Everything only mentions Cats, Dogs, Birds, and Livestock. During the PCS process, I would ask Port Call about that, and see what they say.

All you need to worry about are the airline restrictions so just contact them. If they say you are good to go that is all that matters.

in 1984 I was assigned to Korea. The Korean Government wouldn't even allow Llamas in country even after the Army allocated and purchased the Llamas The whole story takes too long to type out but it's the funniest I've been involved with

After I arrived at my duty station a fellow AIT grad was assigned to same site as well as the NCOIC PFC Jeff and SFC Al , Jeff was always joking about llamas during AIT so, he was the 1 to start it as we all tried to save money from having korean nats mow the grass on our hillside. SFC Al suggested Army mules as a site mascot and live lawn mower. The Army denied that request. Somewhere around April of 85 we had the CG of the signal corp on our site for a visit and inspection (we had the only split level commo sites in the northern part of SKorea) The idea was brought up a that time and the NCOIC told the story to the CG and his aids. 3 months later we received status of the Llamas being purchased just waiting for the Korean Gov. approval
