Does anyone know how I can find internships near me?

I am moving into my last few semesters before graduating with my BA and I require at least a semester's worth of intern experience (for whatever reason, this is necessary). I am looking for something, on the advice of my advisor, that would require me to write due to my major being in English. Does anyone know of a way to find an internship like this? Or might anyone know of such a position?

Joe, many companies need technical writers. I wrote some SOP's when I worked in Quality Control. That might be an avenue to explore.

Those ought to give you a fair clue...you could also vary Tue phraseology of the searches using externships as opposed to internship, and just repeat the sa!e searches under journalism, television, and public affairs, you might also add radio stations as well, just another added thought, of course....
