Does anyone have suggestions for how to maintain a successful Video Log (VLOG)?

I have recently started a transition and next chapter VLOG on YouTube called FMCFullyMissionCapable where I have gotten about a follower per day. Any tips on how I optimize the VLOG to receive more followers?

1. Learn how to create subtitles (closed captioning)
2. Prioritize audio quality
3. Have an index card to better plan vlogs
4. Figure out your style(s) per topic - podcast and loose, condensed and truncated, etc..
5. Collaborate with others in similar fields.
6. Consider another platform alongside or in lieu of YouTube - ie. Vimeo - as YouTube is getting really sketchy with algorithms
7. Have a straight-forward intro and outro

I only had a couple, but he nailed them all. There was a study done that said subtitles make your video something like 50% (not an exact number at all) more likely to be viewed since folks can watch it on silent on the bus or at work without headphones and without disturbing those around them.
