Access to these systems was disabled by the G6 of the Army. Apparently, they are supposed to be reactivating somehow or offering a work-around, but its now been over a year with no home access and it has created quite a few problems (especially for us reservists). What annoys me, is the fact that the reason they did was for security, allowing only .mil networks access to these sites. However, .gov networks have the same requirements and I work in my civilian job on such a network and am still not authorized. In any case, unless you have VPN access, you cannot access it from home at present.

Would you just have to activate the vpn for it to work, or do you need to set it up a certain way?

You can reach these site by having access to the remote desktop NIPR page. You must submit a ticket to your GISA office or NEC. You must also meet the justification requirements just BELOW having your own NIPR labtop at home.

Anyone with a CAC can access the website but only those who are approved will see an available NIPR remote desktop in the "current folder" section.
