Since promoting into a new position I've been working on getting our staff back into a near-peer oriented mindset. The staff is used to operating in a COIN setting, where things like security and noise and light discipline are non-existent. Admittedly all of my operational experience has been COIN oriented as well. With that said, we have an upcoming JRTC rotation and I'm concerned Geronimo is going to eat our lunch. One of the areas we're struggling with is jumping the TOC. What I think will help is refining our quartering party process. Right now it's chaotic at best. Does anyone have a SOP they're willing to share?

Good start is the Scout platoon manual 3-20.98 (unless they changed the numbers again...)

I'd check the Quartermaster Center for Excellence webpage.
