I don't think there is any statistics on this. Does having an AA or Airborne badge give you an edge in promotion boards?

For officer promotions, good OERs and completing required military schooling are most important. For promotions specifically in combat arms branches, Ranger tab is more important than airborne or air assault badge.

CPT (Join to see) - To LTC Eugene Chu's point, concentrate more on your performance of duties rather than on your schooling. A better OER will weigh a lot heavier in setting you apart from your peers.
However, if you're asking if everyone has an ACOM profile and you're being compared against them ... yes, having additional qualifications could be used to separate someone from the pack.

What LTC Eugene Che said, is utmost, officer education is first. I served with a CPT who put it off and off, then he got the letter, he was passed over for promotion. He got the boot. Lost his chance for retirement, promotion, everything because he didn't get his next level of Officer education done.

Do you think Ranger School is a big thing if you aren't Infantry? I've seen tabbed Armor Officers, but it is by no means close to universal. The same with Combat Engineers, you see a tab once in a while, but I saw a lot of senior ranks without one. Don't know about the Sapper Tab, it was too new when I was in to be widespread in the Officers ranks.
Now I wouldn't want to be a 1LT or Captain in a Light Infantry Division without one, but that is its own word.

What an officer has on his/her sleeve is irrelevant to a promotion board. If it is relevant for the officer to perform his/her job then the impact of that would be reflected in the OER rating by the Rater/Senior Rater.
Not at all. PME completion, good OERs, and no bad paper (referred OERs, GOMORs) are what matters.
