Do you think there should be Concealed Carry nationwide reciprocity?

I personally think that since we honor driver's license in every state, we should honor CCW permits in every state. I mean obviously we'd have to take a concealed carry course and everything but I think it's stupid that we don't. I understand each state has it's own rules as far as the requirements for the permit but they should come up with national requirements and then issue a nationwide CCW permit. How about you, what are your thoughts?

2nd Amendment is a Federally designated right. As such, gun regulation should be a federal regulation. So, yes, I think gun laws, if they were to exist, should be based in the federal regulations, not at the state level.

If there is to be carte blanch reciprocity, there needs to be a more thorough background investigation done on all weapons across the board. Grandfather the current CCW and sold weapons, but set a date whereas anything after this date requires additional checks.
I am all for the 2nd Amendment, just a little more personal responsibility is all.

I felt bad for that woman who got busted for having hollow points for her legally permitted CCW because they were illegal in a different state.

Ya I think it's idiotic. I mean like I said if we honor driver's licenses in every state then CCW permits should be the same if they came up with some realistic national requirements for it.

States that prescribe bullet types are greatly exceeding reason and authority. It is another violation of the intent of the Second Amendment. It is a manipulation. CPT Wayne Price

Shouldn't need it, we have a Constitution. That said, national reciprocity is the next best step.
