Do you feel Military Discipline is at an all time low? Give Examples Please...

Ever stopped and looked around at you company? 80% of the Soldiers are on their smartphones not even paying attention or having the slightest hint of situational awareness. I feel like this is a major issue in the workplace and should be addressed. Also brand new Soldiers coming in, have a lot less discipline. I feel that the two wars our Military has been in, has caused a lack of Discipline, Military Bearing and Lackadaisical Style Leadership.

I also feel that Pride has taken a nosedive since I came in as well. I remember sitting in the Company in 2003 and hearing flag call go off, and everyone would run outside to salute the flag. Nowadays it seems as if its a burden of time for young Soldiers. They hear flag call and go running back into the Company. Lets step up Leaders and make a difference. Be part of the solution, not part of the problem.

Last but not least is regulations. Do leaders just google everything these days? What ever happen to getting in the black and white and doing whats right? Quit googling information and get on Army Publishing Directorate and read these regulations. Many have changed the title, IE: ADP, ADRP, ARTEP, ATP, ATTP and such. There are regulations changing but no notification being put out.
