Do we have enough Troop units within its boundaries to secure/defend US soil?

An example is that the United States in Mechanized cavalry unit alone once had enough units to man/patrol both borders and enough Coast Guard vessels to billet every port on the coasts.
We currently have the following units but are they within the borders?
You see where I'm going with this - Right?

Yes. It's called 150 million gun owners holding 300 million weapons of all types and sizes. That's one half of why we have the 2nd amendment. You'd need to bring your entire country over to the US in order to invade, hold and occupy us.

They need to bring back some of the Armor Bn's that were elimanated in some of the states.

I think we’re alright. We don’t exactly have a history of being successfully invaded. And unless we become mortal enemies with Canada or Mexico, an enemy would have to mount any amphibious invasion, reach our shores without getting decimated by our navy, establish a beachhead, and then proceed to advance on all natures of terrain, from desert to swamp to mountainous.
The invader will have to contend with several of the largest population centers in the world, populated the most heavily armed civilian population in the world (including millions of combat veterans).
You see where I’m going with this, right? Our country is far more at risk from cyber threats. A group of idiots in a basement in Tehran is far more of a threat to us than an invading force.

I think physical invasion - either armed or illegal mass bordergate crashing will be a more common problem in the years to come. It may come down to exchanges of weapons fire.
Have you watched the videos on the mexico news (surprising little play in US media) of the attacsk on the Mexican Police at their southern border?

Yeah, I’ve seen all sorts of nonsense the Mexican police get themselves into. But don’t let this recent caravan or it’s surrounding hysteria get you spun up.
While this current one is certainly big, it’s not a new thing. They’ve been happening for decades. I’m no fan of illegal immigration, but what’s currently happening isn’t new.
What is new is the ‘chicken little/sky falling’ spin by our current administration and the media coverage surrounding the entire situation.
