Do I need to waive off my VA compensation before reenlisting or can I waive it once I qualify through MEPS?

Are you reenlisting in NG/Res? If so, no you do not. If you are staying AD yes because you cannot receive both. However, NG/Res can receive VA compensation. They just don't get paid while they are drilling or whatever they call it nowadays. Most just drill for points and have to repay for the money they get for AT.

Yes. You’ll need to stop it. Contact the VA or see a VA rep to complete the paperwork. Once completed notify your recruiter or POC. I had to stop my VA compensation in order to re-enter the military.
