Did you know that Middletown Vietnam Vets Bring Message Of Respect To Students?
Veterans Day in Middletown used to be a day or two of events and modest ceremonies, but this year the demand to have local veterans appear at area schools and organizations very nearly turned the day into Veterans Month.
In the last few years the veterans have made a clear effort to interact with more students in the school district — in large part thanks to American Legion Post 75 Commander Larry Riley and Michael Rogalsky, who will serve his third term as commander of the Middletown Council of Veterans in 2016.
We have a lot of Veterans, Civilian Supporter and Family Members out their in RP Land that are working hard to support their local communities in many different ways.
RP Members share your story on what you are doing in your local communities?

Michael Rogalsky and Larry Riley are both Vietnam War combat veterans who met and became friends about ten years ago. Rogalsky served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army for seven months in 1968 and Riley served with the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam from December 1966 to July 1968. The two Middletown veterans are very active in several different organizations that serve veterans.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs - Mikel; I loved the article. If we don't teach the children then they will make the same mistakes we made.

Love me some Knarly Old Vets and the Students still love to hear our Sea Stories. I was approached by the Local Grade School for my Biography and some Memorabilia for their Veterans Day Program and I sent it with some of my Old Medals and Ribbons for them to use and I really loved all the Letters the Children sent me.
