Did you know Texas Southern University is in Lock down as I'm typing this? What the heck is going on with so many school shootings?

Apparently this isn't exactly a new thing at TSU. As best I can tell though, both shootings though were targeted rather than random/spree in nature. The only thing they have in common with Oregon is that a gun was involved.

I've been told..headline misleading...but still...it's student housing/apartment along side of the school and a student doing the shooting to another student.

In conjunction with the next President every member of the US House is up for reelection and 1/3 of the Senate.
The President has the bully pulpit which helps either calm the nation, divide the nation, or unify the nation to act. Our current President has sometimes unified and inspired the nation; but, unfortunately many times his use of the bully pulpit has helped fuel divisions within this nation.
The next House will have significant opportunity to work with the next administration. Hopefully there will be much common ground to work on and through :-)

monkey do what monkey see. There is a good amount of troubled person out there just wish to have some attention. Every time when there is a shooting that get a lot of attention... many of those troubled follow.

Great story... all except it was not at the University at all..."One person was fatally shot on Friday and another person was wounded in a shooting an apartment complex adjacent to the campus of Texas Southern University"

It looks like this was next to the campus but not on, the campus. The media is hyping it up because of all recent "campus" shootings. Also, some food for thought, this person may have been a student and the victim may have been a student but this happened in an apartment near the school, not on school grounds.

Sgt Kelli Mays - One could ask, Why are adults shooting adults? Why are teens shooting teens? Being a student has nothing to do with it. There is a deeper issue behind it.
