Texas Senator Ted Cruz has been gaining ground lately and rising in the Polls. He had a few exchanges with Donald Trump last night. One of which was the "Birther" Issue. However, many believe he gave an Unfavorable response in regards to "New York Values" in which Donald Trump rebutted Nicely. Where does Senator Ted Cruz stand now in the Presidential Race?

More air time is usually a good thing. The very fact that people are talking about Ted Cruz right now is also a good thing for Ted Cruz. I think he did really well in the debate, and he knows that any Republican is going to lose New York and basically New England in the general election... he's focusing on his base.

Helped. Ted is a brilliant debater, but more importantly he is a fine man of character and his political standards align with about 85% of my own. I'll take 85% over the current 0% every time. Wouldn't mind Trump, he'll have a great team to help him control his reactionary tendency - first choice was Carson, but a reality check let me see that he (although the best candidate) doesn't really have a chance. God protect us from another Bush presidency.....

Senator Cruz was on defense, as a front-runner often is, and handled the attacks pretty well. I doubt it will change the seeding much.
Senator Rubio actually scored a couple of hit on Cruz, I think, and made some hay for himself in the process.
I think Governor Christie did well for himself as well.

Dr Carson might as well not have been up there. He looks done.

SPC Andrew Griffin - Passive has it's place. His soft-spoken and thoughtful style resonates for many. But he didn't look like he was awake.
